Two calls for expressions of interest to support local business transitions

In a context of economic and environmental change, ADEME and the Grand Est Region are launching, through the Climaxion program, two calls for expressions of interest aimed at businesses, one targeting the agri-food sector and the other the digital sector.

These initiatives are designed to help companies adapt their business models, combining strategic guidance with substantial public funding.

Agri-food sector: rethinking business models to strengthen resilience

A response to sector-wide changes

As the leading industrial sector in Alsace, the agri-food industry includes over 1,000 companies and 25,000 jobs across the region.

It is currently undergoing significant shifts, including rising raw material and energy costs, increasing pressure on margins, stricter regulatory requirements, and changing consumer expectations.

The call for expressions of interest introduced by ADEME and the Region supports companies seeking to rethink their business models. It draws on the economy of functionality and cooperation, which focuses on creating value through use, performance, and collaboration between stakeholders.

Substantial public funding

The State and the Grand Est Region back this initiative with grants for studies and advisory services.

Funding rates range from 60% to 80% depending on company size.

Indicatively:

These grants are deliberately allocated before any capital investment, in order to maximize the effectiveness of future projects.

Information and applications:

Digital sector: accelerating eco-design for products and services

A key environmental and economic issue

The digital sector now accounts for a significant share of environmental impacts due to its intensive use of resources and energy. It is responsible for nearly 5% of total greenhouse gas emissions in France.

To address these challenges, the dedicated call for expressions of interest promotes the wider adoption of eco-design approaches, reducing impacts across the entire life cycle of products and services while enhancing business competitiveness.

The objective is to position the Grand Est as a leading region in sustainable digital practices.

Targeted financial support

Selected projects receive ADEME funding to cover studies and support measures:

Funding levels typically range from 60% to 80% depending on company size.

As with the previous scheme, this support focuses on studies and engineering services to help structure solid projects before any investment is made.

Information and applications:

An opportunity for companies in Alsace

Together, these two calls for expressions of interest provide companies in Alsace with a practical opportunity to anticipate sector developments, improve their resilience, and adopt more sustainable business models.

By combining expert support with significant public funding, they help secure strategic projects and accelerate ongoing transitions.

In a region known for the strength of its economic fabric and its commitment to innovation, these initiatives contribute to building a more sustainable and competitive economy firmly rooted in its local ecosystem.
