Strasbourg Innovation Park: a strategic catalyst for Alsace
Located just south of Strasbourg, at the heart of an exceptional scientific and economic landscape, the Illkirch-Strasbourg Innovation Park (PII) has become one of Alsace’s leading innovation hubs. Established in 1983 to bring academic research closer to industry, it has grown into a flagship technopole, home to innovative companies, research centers, higher education institutions and support organizations.

Today, more than one hundred entities operate within the park, and over 7,000 people come every day to work or study. Spanning nearly 170 hectares, the site offers an outstanding environment, combining state-of-the-art facilities, business services and immediate access to protected natural areas.
Connecting talent, research and innovation
The PII is distinguished by a comprehensive ecosystem that supports innovation in all its dimensions. It fosters the development:
- of collaborative R&D and technology transfer, supported by institutions such as the University of Strasbourg, SATT Conectus and the BioValley France cluster;
- of entrepreneurship, through incubators, business hotels and dedicated spaces for scaling startups;
- of strategic technology sectors, including health, biotechnology, digital technologies, mobility and environmental innovation.
The park is also home to leading companies such as Transgene, Biosynex, ABL Europe and Domain Therapeutics, and plays a structuring role for innovation in Alsace and the cross-border region, notably through the EUCOR network linking five major Upper Rhine universities.
A year-round program of events
