Housing remains a key challenge for companies recruiting talent, as well as for young people choosing Alsace for their studies. A lack of information, complex procedures, and limited awareness of available assistance are just some of the obstacles that can slow down hiring or make settling in more difficult. This guide was created to address these challenges and reflects our commitment to welcoming and integrating talent in the region.

The guide brings together essential information about housing in Alsace: available support programs (Action Logement, Visale, Mobili-Jeune…), types of accommodation (student residences, social housing, shared housing, temporary furnished rentals), practical tips for finding a home, and useful contacts. It is designed for newly hired employees, students on the move, and companies looking to assist their staff.
It will be distributed to businesses, higher education institutions, and support organizations, and will be regularly updated based on user feedback. This first edition will evolve over time to become as comprehensive as possible.
With this guide, Alsace reaffirms its commitment to fostering economic development, removing barriers to recruitment, and creating the best possible conditions for a successful relocation so that everyone can live, work, and study in Alsace with confidence.
Conceived as a practical companion for anyone searching for housing, this document is part of a broader initiative to strengthen Alsace’s economic and human appeal: the regional employer brand Bien en Alsace.
