Europa-Park crowned best amusement park in the world for the 10th time

In early September, Europa-Park was once again crowned the best amusement park in the world at the prestigious Golden Ticket Awards, organized by the American magazine Amusement Today. This distinction, awarded to the park this year for the tenth time, celebrates half a century of excellence, innovation, and passion.

Located less than 5 km from the French-German border, Europa-Park is a popular destination for Alsatian families and tourists visiting the region. Around 25% of the park’s visitors are French, with the majority coming from Alsace.

With over 6 million annual visitors, Europa-Park is the largest amusement park in Germany. It spans 95 hectares, divided into 17 themed areas inspired by European countries. The park offers more than 100 attractions, including spectacular roller coasters, entertainment, and themed shows for all ages and audiences.

The Europa-Park Resort complex also includes Rulantica, an indoor water park ranked 4th in the world, as well as several hotels, gourmet restaurants, and high-level shows throughout the year.

The Golden Ticket Awards: the Oscars of amusement parks

Created in 1998, the Golden Ticket Awards are considered the most coveted accolades in the amusement park industry. Each year, an international jury of experts evaluates the best parks based on demanding criteria: quality of attractions, customer experience, shows, food services, accommodation, and innovation. Europa-Park thus surpasses giants like Walt Disney World and Universal Studios.

Behind Europa-Park is Mack Rides, a family-owned company founded in 1780. Specializing in the design and manufacture of rides, the company supplies parks all around the world: every day, more than one million people ride an attraction designed by Mack Rides.

The company’s leaders continuously diversify their activities by developing complementary entities such as Mack Media and Mack Animation. The park thus serves as a technological showcase for the group’s innovations, notably in the fields of virtual reality and immersive experiences.

Alsace, a land of leisure and discovery

While Europa-Park is a flagship destination, Alsace is not to be outdone. The region offers a rich and varied range of leisure activities for all ages and all seasons:

Europa-Park’s proximity illustrates the strong economic and cultural ties between Alsace, Germany, and Switzerland. The Upper Rhine, a shared living area for 6 million inhabitants, is a model of cross-border cooperation. Each year, numerous cross-border projects are carried out in the fields of innovation, mobility, employment, and ecological transition.

Europa-Park embodies a European success story that Alsace is proud to feel close to. Through this new recognition, the entire Rhine region shines on the international stage. Congratulations on this wonderful recognition!
