The www.visitfrenchwine.com portal was officially launched by the Quai d’Orsay. Whilst everyone wanted to increase wine tourism’s exposure on the Atout France website, a site to seduce faraway customers, exclusively aimed at promoting wine tourism activities, has been launched by the wine tourism pole of excellence, in which the Agency is an active member on a national level.
The CIVA along with Access Alsace were amongst the first partners to adhere to the project. Alsace and its vineyards can be found in a number of ways on the site: in rotation on the home page, in the “Our Vineyards” and “Your Experiences” items, on the map and as a suggestion in the “Inspire Me!” tab. The site aims to seduce new customers, with more than 4 million international “wine tourists” expected to come to France’s wine regions by 2020.
