In 2016, more than 10 million wine tourists visited France’s vineyards, up 33% from 2009. The Grand Est Region is the most popular region for vineyards. With 34.1% of wine tourists heading to Alsace and Champagne, the region is the most popular French wine tourism destination.
Thanks to all of its natural advantages, Alsace has 2 different “Vignobles & Découvertes” accredited areas: “Terre & Vins au Pays de Colmar” and “Cœur d’Alsace”.
