Alsatian chefs Marc Haeberlin and Jean-Georges Klein have once again risen in the prestigious ranking of the world’s top 100 chefs at last year’s Chefs World Summit held in Monaco.
Established in 2015, the “100 Chefs” is the only global ranking of chefs decided in total objectivity by the chefs themselves! In all, 552 two and three Michelin-starred chefs from across the globe were asked to answer this delicate, complex question: “Who are the 5 international chefs that you feel best embody the values of the profession, whose standard of cooking is unparalleled and whose restaurant you must visit?”
Following in the footsteps of Pierre Gagnaire, Michel Bras and Alain Passard, it was Michel Troisgros of the Maison Troigros in Roanne who garnered the most votes from his peers. France dominated the ranking with 41 of the chefs hailing from the hexagon, including 2 chefs from Alsace:
